The existing Quarter Guard is a dilapidated structure from the 1960s, lacking modern security features and adequate space for the current unit strength and equipment. The new facility is an operational necessity to enhance security, provide a safe storage environment for arms and ammunition, and ensure the well-being of personnel. This proposal is aligned with strategic infrastructure upgrades in the region. The necessity has been endorsed by the Station Commander.

Based on the operational necessity and technical viability outlined in the attached SoC, and the cost estimate as per the RIC, it is recommended that Approval in Principle (AIP) and Acceptance of Necessity (AoN) be granted for the Construction of the Quarter Guard Complex at Rangapahar Cantonment.
